You're the Senior Editor and Director of Emerging Platforms for The Hill, focusing on platforms like Snapchat, Facebook Live and 360 degree video. How can you tell if a new platform will be worth exploring?

I'll honestly download anything with a login page. You only learn about new platforms and communities by trying things and I think I've collectively learned a lot from the thousands of apps I've tried and later deleted. You learn what works, what doesn't, you see different types of communities spring up. That said, I'll never start a #brand account on a platform until I know it intimately as a user. There's nothing worse than a brand account on a new app trying to be hip while spamming everyone with their content.

You've faved 95,000 tweets. Is there one tweet that you've faved that stands out as particularly worthy of distinction?

The one tweet that makes me laugh out loud every time I think about it is my friend Kevin Nguyen's 2014 tweet about gcal and 12 years a slave. I perfectly captures life with modern technology on so many levels. I can't express how much I love this tweet.

What can people expect from your reading?

I just got Invisalign so probably a lot of lisping and hopefully minimal drooling.
